Day 2- favorite side character
The Harry Potter series is one of my absolute favorites through and through. One of my favorite characters is one that often gets over looked, Ginny Weasley. She was absolutely ruined by the movie but is a very strong character in the book. She was always very strong and helpful, unlike her movie version that seemed like a stupid kid sister to Ron, not adding much to the series. Some people wont even know who she is right off the bat, considering her most significant point in the films is when she was portrayed as a damsel in distress in the Chamber of Secrets.
In the book she had alot of depth that many characters lose in the shift from page to screen. She truly was a very helpful person when it came to Harry. In the Half Blood Prince, she and Harry develop a relationship that is a key point in Deathly Hallows. But among this is the fact that even in her relationships she was always very strong and independent. Overall, a great character.
